The U of I Extension office is excited to start working with 5th grade students on a program called Master Gardener. Each of our 5th grade homerooms will plant, care for, and harvest fall veggies such as lettuce, onions, and radishes. Today's lesson...soil prep and planting!

Congratulations to the Lady Puma Softball on their championship at the Lady Puma Classic! This tournament could not happen without all the families supporting the tournament- set up & tear down, working concession, grilling, and field maintenance. Thank you all.


Preschool students in Mrs. Edens’s classrooms enjoyed another great week of school and celebrated with popsicles!





Congratulations to our first Mathfact Masters of the school year! These super smart students remembered all of the school rule math facts, and even our newest one. Way to go kiddos!


Congratulations to our August Students of the Month: 6th- Jiovany , 7th- Liam & Aiden (1st time we've had a tie), & 8th-Wyatt. Great display of character and thanks to the Putnam County PTO for the gift cards!


This morning's welcome to school was done by the captain. The message was make learning an adventure and be the pilot of your flight! Fun day to start the day! Gwen snapped a pic with her NASA shirt!

What is "Buzz" Aldrin's real first name and how did he get his nickname? How did he show determination? What struggles did he encounter? Our 4th graders are learning this and so much more today in Reading!




The Pumas who were in the Seussical play loved doing it so much they wore their t shirts today!!


PCPS opening up today with an introduction to Polly the Peacock - congrats to Mrs. Kirbach's class who showed great behavior and will host Polly for the week!


Congratulations to Orlando who was chosen as the ACC student of the month! Orlando was chosen for his excellent start to the year, potential, and aptitude! PCHS is proud of the work you are putting towards building your future! Congratulations, Orlando!


Friday morning welcome by PCJH Student Council. Students welcomed by music, dancing, Tootsie Rolls, and a message to get on a roll this year.

PCHS has enjoyed the first 5 days of school. We are excited to see the success of everyone at PCHS!




We are having a great time playing games in PE, clapping out syllables in music, and playing musical chairs book edition during media.
